Project Manufacturing Engineer (Medical/ISO 13485) – (Fremont, CA, USA)

Today, our Fremont facility (California, USA) is looking for a Project Manufacturing Engineer (Medical/ISO 13485).



  • Have end-to-end responsibility for a project from conception through to production.
  • Provide technical support to customers and CFT.
  • Solid understanding and PCBA manufacturing and systems integration.
  • Proficient understanding of manufacturing process controls and the statistical applications associated
  • Performs feasibility studies to determine possible changes to the manufacturing process.
  • Provides manufacturing management with the necessary technical expertise to identify operational requirements with respect to current and future manufacturing strategies.
  • Develops manufacturability design guidelines and specifications for use in product development.
  • Contributes to cost estimates and production schedules by compiling labor, tooling, and manufacturing cost and improve results.
  • Works with the manufacturing department to resolve production problems.
  • Assists in product planning and design by defining manufacturing capabilities, recommend changes in the design of proposed new products to reduce manufacturing cost, and improve results.
  • Creates/updates work instructions used by manufacturing areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Develops assembly process instructions and approves and updates changes as required.
  • Approves initial first-time build process.
  • Orders process tooling.
  • Final approval of customer BOM
  • Rework and repair authority


Requirements/job profile


  • Bachelors degree in an engineering field /equivalent or level of knowledge that would be normally obtained of a BS degree
  • Experience (years & fields)
  • 4-7 years of job-related experience in the engineering field and thorough knowledge of all manufacturing functions or an equivalent combination of education and experience
