Asteelflash, a leading and global Tier 2 Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) company headquartered in Paris, France, has committed to the nationwide Manufacturing Day initiative through its Fremont advanced manufacturing facility, headquarters of Asteelflash Americas.
The event, held on Friday October 7th, gathered students from the Industrial System Engineering program from San Jose State University, under Dr. Yasser Dessouky’s leadership, officials from the City of Fremont and Economic Development Representatives and last but not least, U.S Congressman Mike Honda representing the 17th District of California – Silicon Valley.
“Today is Manufacturing Day and it was wonderful to spend the day at Asteelflash with San Jose State University students as we celebrated American Manufacturing” said Congressman Mike Honda.
“It was an honor to have Congressman Honda visit our facility today on Manufacturing Day. His leadership on federal investment in manufacturing through programs such as Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Manufacturing USA helps ensure that the U.S. remains a leader in advanced manufacturing.” said Albert C. Yanez Sr, Executive Vice-President of Asteelflash Group and President of Asteelflash Americas.
Attendees were then given the opportunity to visit Asteelflash Fremont facility and production floor, featuring cutting-edge Electronic Manufacturing equipment.
This is the 4th time Asteelflash hosts a Manufacturing Day event, and is proud to continuously contribute to the Advanced Manufacturing industry.
